Written for a sensitive artist friend who was feeling at odds with the world. She turned up at my house at 7am demanding Boiled eggs and attention, I made her boiled eggs and sent her home as it was too bloody early.
I was not feeling 100% at the time and did not feel I had the motivation to help her out much, so I wrote her this as a poem.

Concentrate your mind, on all that you do well
Pay no mind, to the faithless infidels
Worry less about what other people think
Confidence in self will float you if you sink
Can’t always tip toe through dead wood on the ground
Season’s change, old leaves muffle sound
You take on others fears
There’s anger underneath


I will bite back with you
When I find my teeth


Sorrow, sadness, joy, erotic sometimes bored
Your vulnerable potential separates you from the hordes
I know it hurts pulling knives out of your back
But a slice of inspiration bleeds for twenty peoples lack
You can sing this out whenever you feel week
‘cause hiding in the melodies all the answers that you seek
And if your dress falls down and you’ve nothing underneath
